Right now I'm looking at Jared Jeffries and Bonzi Wells. No way I see Terry not back in Dallas next year unless he chokes in the Finals or really messes up and it costs the Mavs the championship.

Re: Free Agents

Can we convince Dale Davis to retire? That guy is older than molasses. He absolutely adds nothing. We got him and Cato for Shaq insurance and what has that gotten us. Don't resign Cato and sign some undrafted rookies for the league min. for Shaq fouls. Let Amir Johnson , Delfino and Maxiell play and add Bonzi Wells or Mike James.

Re: Free Agents

i liked bonzi last year, still like him this year. either way if there's any guard who can readily penetrate the lane that would be ideal for this club

Re: Free Agents

I think Al Harrington would be a great pick up. Don`t sleep on those Atlanta Hawk players. Once they get out of the "ATL" they may do something!

See Boris Diaw, and Jason Terry!!!!!!!!

Re: Free Agents

Oh SNAP!!!! didn't even realize that Matt Harpring was a free agent this off season.
@ PG Banks is my #1 choice, but I would in no way be upset to see Speedy in a Piston uniform.
@Wing
1.Bonzi
2.Harpring
3.Rasual Butler
KEEP CATO!!!!!!!! He's not a bench scrub, dude is way better than that
would be nice to get Nene also, not sure if he'll be ok after the injury though.

As far as Jarred Jeffries goes I say NOPE!!!!! We need instant impact to come off the bench and light it up, that's not Jeffries game. JJ likes to play in the flow and allow the game to come to him, not what we need. I like JJ I really do, but he needs 30+mpg to be effective, we need a player that can get you 15 in 20 mins of action every fourth game.

Not completely true. Last year Jeffries avg about 25 minutes a game as a starter, as Eddie Jordan tinkered with his starting lineup all season. Jeffries was the Wiz most solid defender and a good rebounder.

He would be very effective as a bench player IF HE WANTS TO, he started all 77 games and the 6 playoff games he was available.

Coming in and lighting it up is certainly not his game, however, if you want consistent good play and effort, he would provide that.

Re: Free Agents

Here's some other good FA's. David Wesley and Nene. Should we make a run at them?

Re: Free Agents

David Wesley is a million years old, and Nene thinks he's a max contract player.

Nene signed-and-traded for Ben Wallace? Ben behind Martin and Camby would be ridiculous defensively.

Re: Free Agents

I'm just hoping Boston hands us Delonte West. I really want him on the Pistons. He'd be great backing up Chauncey and Rip with Lindsey.

Re: Free Agents

I'd definately go for Nene if we could get him in a sign and trade for Ben (assuming he doesn't want to be back) or Sheed. We need someone who can camp in the lane, grab a pass, and finish in traffic. Sheed, Ben, and Dice aren't going to provide that. Max can, but with his height limitations and inexperience I wouldn't want him out there for too much more than 10-15 minutes a game at this point.
