We sure ripped Riley earlier in the year for the mess of mismatched players he put together. For the awkward "family time" resignation of coach Jeremy and predicted a crash and burn for the Heat.


But Riley did his best coaching job ever, the hodgepodge of square peg players meshed in the end and they wanted it more than the Pistons did. Even crybaby Antoine Walker was shouting in the timeout last night....these guys wanted it. Our guys acted like they were too good for that kind of behavior.


The Pistons are no longer the model franchise. The model everyone now should follow is the Miami Heat. Build a team built around superstars with a tremendous amount of depth and a tough experienced coach. Don't hire a guy like the Pistons did because he seems to be able to get along with everybody.

Flip Saunders is a failure. We all said it in the beginning of the season. This will fall on Flip's head if he has another playoff disaster. Well if the listless apathetic play of the Pistons during this years playoffs during this years nauseating playoff stint isn't a disaster then I don't know what is.

But at least he was nice to the secretaries.

We lost because we were a bunch of whining *******. If this team shuts up and just plays next season we'll at least get to the Finals.

We will only get to the finals if the team gets back to gritty basketball instead of this passing game %%%% that they currently run. An offense based on timing and cuts and such is great but if the other team is knocking you off your spots and banging you around you aren't going to execute very well. LB seemed to understand this. I don't think Flip will get it done here. I guess we can look forward to a few more 45-50 win seasons and then the team will be too old....

legend 71 the timing and pasing thing is fine. Flip just needs to get plays that make these guys pass to guys cutting into the paint. I think Joe told flip he better do this and play the bench after we lost.
