Re: Can Pistons change identity and stay successful??

Been hearing a lot about how the Pistons have gotten away from the defensive mentality... even though there's little evidence to back this up...
During the playoffs it wasn't the defense that was the problem... it was the lack of scoring.

I think opponent guards will no longer have their head on a swivel looking out for shot blockers... "fear the Naz" just doesn't have the same ring to it... a big part of Ben's defense was intimidation misses (altered shots)... now they know they can just look at the basket when going inside.
I'm very disappointed we didn't get a chance to see what Cato could do... defense was his strength....
How come we haven't heard anything on this guy?... re-signing him could allow us to use D.D's contract in a trade.
I'm wondering with the Flip signing if we even have a roster spot left for Acker & Blalock.

14 spots with Blalock and Acker. I'm trying to get my contract roster done this afternoon.

BSA said Nazz scored 30 once.
Kinda like Delk scoring 50.
We should be the elite team this year...we should get the calls.
We'll see.

`` All we saw with the Heat winning is that a team still has to be able to get dirty and play ugly.''

For sure. There were times during this playoffs where it seemed like the team knew it and tried to get back to it. But once you've lost the mentality, you can only do it in spurts, not over a whole game. And then you end up chucking 9 threes in a row...
