Ben just doesn't get along with coaches. I don't expect him to get along with Skiles either. Unless Joe fires Flip by midseason we will not hav a very good season.

Re: Adam Fluck interviews Ben

quit excusing ben's behavior this year. he was very immature. whether he agreed with what his coach decided or not, it was no excuse to sandbag, refuse to play, or complain to the public. flip was in a no win situation.. fans would have been livid if ben was suspended. when the best loved player defies a new coach it is really a problem. i think part of ben's frustration was because of his own failures at the line, rebound and scoring numbers slowly going down etc. ben's way of handling this was wrong. he turned out to not be a good team player. this is what the bulls are getting for 60 mil. long live joe d and the pistons.

We're not excusing anything. Even big Ben being a baby we were better with him than without him.

Did that extra small super tight tee-shirt put a bee in your proverbial bonnet? You shoulda given that one to Maxiell and kept the good one for yourself.

BTW, you guys should post the pic of the Brahma with his shirt on the front page of the forum.
(Or the one with Low in his pf.com halter top shirt. lmao)

Agree, there should be some balance with the critisism...
It appears that most problems are being attributed to Flip... if they do badly it's Flips fault... if they do well it's the players excellence.
If he's being blamed for the playoff collapse, should he get any credit for the best record in team history... improved offense... no drop in defensive PPG and an excellent points differential... with basically the same squad minus EC?
BTW, the Pistons played 3 of the highest scoring teams in the association and held them below their average.
Now if the coach could make the open shots we could be talking about another ship... oh well I fell off the "Not getting into the Flip thing" wagon.
It's rarely 100% one way or the other.
Sorry wrong thread

Did Ben not get along with Carlilse or LB? Carlilse brought Ben's D to the forefront and LB showed him his O side. Skiles is what Ben's been looking for since Flip came online. I expect Ben to have a pretty good year...and watch his FT% go up.

Whole-hearted agreement on mid-season Flipper...Joe better hire an assistant worthy of the task he'll be faced with.

Thanks for posting that.

Ben commented on the Bulls play like he has been there for years "We just have to go out and do what we do". Thats also what he used to say in his earlier days with the Pistons.

I actually think Ben stole "we do what we do" from Rip.
