If he's being blamed for the playoff collapse, should he get any credit for the best record in team history... improved offense... no drop in defensive PPG and an excellent points differential... with basically the same squad minus EC?
BTW, the Pistons played 3 of the highest scoring teams in the association and held them below their average.
Now if the coach could make the open shots we could be talking about another ship... oh well I fell off the "Not getting into the Flip thing" wagon.
It's rarely 100% one way or the other.

One thing I worry about Flip is his confidence. There's a difference between being a good coach and a winner and just a good coach with a great offensive mind. Did Flip win anything in the CBA? I don't know. All I know is that when he sits up there during his post-game press conferences, he seems like a guy not all that sure of himself. I never felt that way about Brown. I always felt like Brown was gonna bring the team back hard after a loss and that he had a few tricks up his sleeve.
Flip has a nice offensive mind and he's a nice guy, but that's not what you need all the time. Sometimes, you need a cold-blooded Terminator.
Good point, however, about the guys not making shots. And hey, maybe Flip is evolving. We can always improve ourselves.
