Dupree Trade

I have a question about the Dupree trade. What was that all about? It looks good from the Detroit side. You loan a guy to Minny. They hardly use him. You get him back plus a pick.

If you are minny, why give up a pick for someone who doesn't play? Did they need depth? Anyone understand the point of that trade?

Re: Dupree Trade

Dupree to minnesota for a future second round pick.

Dupree looked like he was on the verge of being a pretty solid player, so Minny took a gamble. Oops. Plus, they were probably thinking their second round picks would be pretty worthless instead of the near first rounders they might be now.

Re: Dupree Trade

I remember that. It looked like we were going to cut him and no one could understand why until Minn traded for him.

he obviously fitted better into Brown's system them into the one in Minnesota- there are many guys out there who can be solid if playing in the right system... let's hope Saunders will find the right one for our current roster...

Good point. Hopefully, with a more offensive minded center and guard, the Pistons will be a better fit for Flip's system.
