Re: delfino gone from pistons

He pretty much overachieved this summer. He was the 3rd best player on the Argentinian team.

Re: delfino gone from pistons

Nevermind the talent arguement between VSL and FIBA world cup. The FIBA games counted as real competition. And Delfino did well over there. I've seen VSL and aside from seeing our rookies play, it pretty much sucked. Players had 10 fouls to give and the refs went buck wild with the whistle.

Whether he stays or goes, CD has shown that he can play ball.

What does "did well" mean? That sounds awfully "familiar" to me.

Whole lotsa folk can "play ball." Has he shown that he can play at "Pistons level?"

I'd like him to play above the "Pistons level". We don't need anyone else clanking Js and serving free chili on the perimeter. Rip, Tay and CB seem to have that covered...

Lucic cut his hand in a fight with Michael Komisarek. "I'll be fine," he said. "(X-rays are) negative, but there's so many broken bones in there from before you can't really tell."

Re: delfino gone from pistons

SEE! FreshPrince22's game comments on delfino's performance. Here!

Nobody knows if ANY of the rookies can play at the pistons level. All they can do is show that they deserve the opportunity to prove it. You have to produce in game time (where ever it is) and then work hard in practice. I think all of our guys have shown that.

on a side note, I hope we get to see a little of Will Blalock in a preseason game before they dump him and amir in NBDL

Re: delfino gone from pistons

Thanks a bunch Slippy!

Based on the comments I read over there, our backup SG problems are over. If those reports are halfway accurate, Delfino should have no problem TAKING the backup SG or SF spot. I can't wait to see the "new and improved" Delfino! I can sleep easy now.
