Re: MASON

I just found a copy of the pistons-suns game from last season at the palace. if you can't remember this was a great game where the pistons came back from 17 down in the 3rd to win it. billups scored 27 or something in the 2nd half in the battle of the mvp candidates. rip gave ben 2 baseline lob jams in a row, then he got a tip jam.
play of the game had to be the fast break rip to tay alley-oop, that was a sick play.

Anyway after I watched it I went and read the boxscore and recap and found this little tidbit.

I don't think we can question Mason's loyalty here.

The Pistons spent a lot of time arguing with officials, leading to technicals against Billups, Ben Wallace and Rasheed Wallace.

It got so testy that Mason was admonished by official Steve Javie for contorting his face after a call was made against the Pistons.

Re: MASON

Masons not going anywhere. He has been in the area for quit a long time doing radio. Besides there is no cap for the support personal so Pistons can match all offers. In McClouds case I am not sure they really wanted to.

McCloud being gone has actually been a plus for me this season. Looking forward to seeing Blaha do both games. Blaha/Kelser covering Piston games on FSN is going to be off the charts. The best coverage in the league.

That was the game of the season. The one where D'Antoni told the Suns in the 4th quarter, "If they're going to make shots like that, God loves them."

Basically waving the white flag as the Pistons picked the Suns defense apart (while getting stops and turnovers against the offense...)
