Re: does anyone know these books?

The publishing of the Perry Farrel book was financed by a loan from Joe Dumars that wasn't paid back because of miserable sales, I have heard.

Can anyone confirm? Seems wrong, if so.

How could the man ever write an unbiased article about the Pistons if he is in Joes pocket and owes him money?

Maybe that's how Joe D gets such love from the beat writers even when he blunders his way through two seasons and gets worked by Orlando in a trade. They are still defending him. Unreal.

Re: does anyone know these books?

I have bought copies of the above recently for giveaways on the forum.

Champions at work is very light reading.

More than Four Decades of Motor City Memories is an almanac of Pistons history. A must have for a die hard fan.

But I have not read either, just quickly skimmed through them.
