He continues to impress.

With regards to the rotation it looks like we are:

plus 2 over last year.

minus one - Ben
plus three - Nazr, Flip and JMax

Personally I am glad that we got Nazr, Flip and JMax, though of course it would have been nice to have kept Ben also.

Another good quote (about defensive rebounds):

Quote:
"It's more just me being an undersized player," he said. "I've got to hit my man first and then go get them."
I like the way he thinks.......

With an attitude like that, how can this guy NOT succeed? This is called willing yourself on the court. Well done Maxiell.

Re: Great Quote From JMax After The Jazz Game

Seriously though, I am really glad to see JMaxx slimmed down and quicker. He will always remain tough, so he should now have the combination to be a real factor. I wanted to see him more in Corliss' role coming in at the 3. He would be way too much for the other 3s in the league to handle.

And he comes from a great program at Cinti.

I was just being a smart-ass before.

Re: Great Quote From JMax After The Jazz Game

I'm hoping that JMax's free throw problems can be attributed to not being in game shape. He shot better in college. He has a nice touch when he shoots on the floor. It can take a lot of real playing time (not practice) for some of the bigger guys to really get their legs under them. McDyess shot poorly at the start of last season until he really got in shape.

To JMax, the ball probably feels too light when he's pumped or too heavy when he's tired. His % should improve as the year goes on. He is no Ben Wallace form-wise.

it sure helps ben wallace is in chicago, dale davis is injured and joe giving flip a strong talking to in the offseason.

but everyone will interpret it differently. some people see it as willing yourself onto the court. i see it as a guy getting an oppurtunity to show what he can do. being put in a postition to succeed.
