Re: Pistons best of the worst

Why does Orlando have better odds to win the title this year than Detroit? 10-1 vs. 12-1.

They are giving Orlando the same odds as the Bulls?

Sounds to me like Legler and Kerr are "waffling"

Odds are only computed by what the general public is currently wagering. It doesn't have anything to do with common sense or scientific analysis. My guess is that Orlando was originally around 25-1 and those odds dropped after large wagers by Lee356 and BBallJay.

Re: Pistons best of the worst

(1) I wouldn't count out Washington. I believe they are going to do some damage in the playoffs.

(2) I'd much rather have an "easy" road to the finals than get beat up so bad by Miami that we have nothing left for the Spurs, like in 2005.

I would.

Don`t let the smooth taste fool you. They play this same song every year; Arenas blazing hot, Jamison and Butler providing solid play, however, the same results.

I admit, this team can be dangerous and advance to the second round but if you mean (don`t count them out) winning it all.

I would have to say hell to the no!!!!!!!!!!

It's not like Cleveland blew them out last year. That series was decided by a hairs width. Cleveland then almost took us out. We've arguably become a worse team since then. I don't think much separates the teams.

I can see Washington possibly winning two rounds and advancing to the ECF, before losing. I'm not saying they will, but I can't say with confidence that Detroit, Miami, Cleveland, Chicago, or Orlando will be there either. At least not right now.

Can you?

Then we can count out Detroit too, if that's the case.

Re: Pistons best of the worst

The Bulls game is the perfect test to see where this team will be going. I know this team can make the Finals if they are healthy and everyone's ready (bench players developed). If the Pistons can get to the Finals anything could happen. This Pistons may not be as good as before, but with an easier road to the Finals maybe that won't matter. If the bench keeps doing good, and the starters are ready to play come playoff time they will be better than last year.
