How can the Heat offer minutes with Shaq, Mourning, and Haslem?

I think the Heat will make noise no mater who the player is, because Riley is much more concerned about being in rival GM's heads than actually overhauling his roster.

It's kinda funny if you watch how the Spurs operate. They come right out and say "We don't want that guy, he can't help us" on day 1.

It's two different approaches to due diligence.

The Heat basically want Webber as an insurace policy for Shaq. No guaratee of PT and no guarantee that they can even turn around their season.

My personal view is that we can afford to lose Nazr, Dice and Flip in our current roster to get either CWebb or MoPete or both of them. Can't afford to lose DD. JD, DD is a keeper if we wanna go far into the playoffs this year.

You need more than one 37 year old center. We don't have a gritty big man, and there are none of any NBA caliber floating around as free agents (unless I am missing something).

So you gotta keep Nazr. Webber is going to make Maxiell or McDyess redundant. I'm leaning towards McDyess despite his trade kicker.

Mourning and Shaq would continue playing center and Haslem would come off the bench... Fatoine would play solely at SF.
In the playoffs Haslem may be their one weak link against larger PF's
