I hope you're right. If anyone knows that Dice doesn't really show his true worth until after the turn of the year, it would be Joe.

I sure hope this isn't true. If it is, Joe better be doing a Maxiell for KG swap. That's the only way I could understand losing the brahma.

As Neff disclosed during his radio exchange, the Detroit Pistons offered Ronald "Flip" Murray for Hart. But whereas Hart is in the final year of a contract that pays him $1.68 million, Murray is being paid $1.75 million this season and $1.89 million if he exercises his player option next year. The Kings, Neff said on the show, didn't do the deal because Murray's contract had a season remaining.

I think it is safe to say, that after no one wanted Flip Murray in free agency, now no one wants him in trade. The guy just might have to exercise that option because I don't see him as a lock to get a contract with a team next season.

This guy is so far below other GM's radar, he's subterranean. What the heck were the Pistons scouting staff thinking when they signed this guy?

Can we just waive him? Would the salary still count towards the cap? Even if it does, it frees up a roster spot and relieves us of 6-7 misses FG's per game.

And 6-7 made FG's at the other end...

Yes we can waive him. But he would stay on the books for two seasons.

It looks like the reality is that Flip Murray doesn't have very much value out there, and I would be really disappointed if we had to include a pick to free a roster spot and relieve the salary burden.

Cash - the ultimate slap in the face for someone being traded.

We would take a trade exception back. But the cash could offset the cost of the exception. Interesting.

Sacbee article stated that Joe D tried a pitch for Jason Hart however, Sac did not want Flip's second year on his contract.
