Thanks for posting that. The part I liked, JMAX to get at least 10 minutes a game, more if playing well. Hope it really happens.

The part I liked least, time to start playing playoff basketball. Nope, its time to keep working hard on developing a bench. First things first. The starters can be perfect, and we are still going to lose a series for lack of a bench, lack of depth.

I can't even bring myself to listen to these anymore. They fill me with rage.

I also agree with lee somewhat. But, I think we can play playoff basketball AND keep developing the bench. Its more about intensity, focus and execution than minutes distribution.

If we come out focused we will have a lot of time for the bench to play. If the bench comes out focused, they will give the starters a break.

Really, our bench is Dyess, Davis, Delfino and Maxiell...and Hunter. Can we get Amir in there somewhere? We have to suit him up starting shortly after the ASB.

I am assuming our team will trade for a backup PG so we can complain that hunter is STILL getting minutes.

What is Flip's record in the playoffs again? Maybe part of the problem is that he genuinely doesn't understand what playoff basketball is.


Update: just looked it up. He's 4-9 lifetime.

He gets his team out of the first round 20% of the time.

I hear Lenny Wilkens is considering a return to coaching.

New Jersey or Dallas was best game of the year so far--except for first quarter in Washington, we actually played pretty well on the road trip

for the last three games, for the first time we're seeing better rhythm and sharing on offense, taking it to the hole more, better with not complaining to refs

the vets played defense a certain way for four years here, and a year ago they changed how you can play--that has hindered our defensive style--those rules are here to stay and you've got to adjust

[about Rip's techs]
Rip is getting hit with fouls when guys grab him and he tries to push them away--he's getting two of those a game right now--at one end he's not getting the fouls he thinks he should get, and on the other end (defense) he's getting hit with some cheap ones

Rip has already shot almost as many free throws as all last season [stat check] so he's playing a lot more aggressively

before the game I said guys we have to start playing playoff basketball because we have 39 games left

I'd be disappointed if we didn't have two (Chauncey and Rip)

right now we're still sitting with the best record in the East, and even though we're not where we were a year ago, you have Chauncey out for a while, Rip carried this team during that stretch, and both those guys deserve to be all-stars

that's always good to know--hopefully we'll have a few more

Sheed doesn't care about being an all-star, if some of them don't get it would be a motivating factor

[minutes for Maxiell]
we're trying to get Chris into the fold, and the only way to do that is to play him--he's going to eat up some minutes, McDyess has been unbelievable in these last two weeks, those are four guys, including Dale Davis who is a situational player

somehow we're going to find a way to play Maxiell a minimum of 10 minutes a game, and depending on how he's playing he'll play more because he's been an effective player for us
