With tonight's victory at Seattle the Pistons are now 21-10 on the road and only 19-12 at home.

Maybe they should switch their home games back to Cobo Arena? LOL

That means if we win our remaining road games, we are guaranteed 50 wins no matter what we do at home

Re: Pistons - Home Court Disadvantage

Here are the 12 Piston home losses, when they occurred, and the margin of defeat:

November: Milwaukee (8), New Orleans (1)
December: Portland (3), Indiana (1), Phoenix (7)
January: Charlotte (7), Minnesota (OT), Utah (1), Washington (3)
February: San Antonio (9)
March: Golden State (18), Cleveland (OT)

On the good side, all but the Golden State loss have been close games.

On the bad side, half of these losses are to the worst teams in the league.

I would rather have that than losing to good teams. It shows that this Piston team is a top team that just doesn't get pumped up for the lower teams. That should not happen come playoff time.

Re: Pistons - Home Court Disadvantage

When the Pistons played in Detroit, they couldn't sell enough tickets.

The reason they play in Auburn Hills has a lot to do with the fact they own the building, and the surrounding property. That is a huge profit point for them.

Remember, Bill Davidson bought the Pistons for fun, and then decided to run it like a business...

That is because they couldn't compete with the famously popular University of Detroit Mercy.!!!
