Discuss: Carlisle coming back next year? at Detroit Pistons Fan Community - PistonsForum.com

If we're going to pick up a retread coach, I'd rather have Doug Collins....

Re: Carlisle coming back next year?

I am on the fence as it relates to cola. It would depend on what Flips fate is this summer and who else turns Joe down. Would probably go the Laimbeer route first, and our own Bill Laimbeer'c comments about retreading Collins sounds good as he has picked a lot more knowledge since joining the broadcast booth.

Bird needs to be the fall guy though for this overall mess so he can be put in that group of former celtics (McHale and Ainge) that have not been able to translate their on court skills and saavy to the front office. In other words why should Zeke get all of the negative GM criticism?

Oh... retread

Read that wrong the first time. Thought you were being a little tough on Doug Collins.

The only comment I can add to the Carlisle idea is to quote Cheech and Chong... "Bailiff wack his pee pee"
