That's not good.

But if that is true, then why did Chauncey seemingly help lure Flip Saunders to the Detroit job?

He probably didn't mind Flip as a head coach, but if there's no guarantee of PT, then why stay?

At least in DET, Billups probably figured it wasn't up to Flip whether or not he was going to start...especially after a title.

Flip said Chauncey earned the job in Minny but they had Hudson's big contract already (sounds like a McHale thing)

That sounds like backtracking ...If you'll remember at the time Saunders was banking on Terrrell Brandon making it back from knee surgery and didn't want to commit to Billups. I don't think Hudson was part of the equation yet.

It was indeed Brandon not Hudson... still a huge contract to absorb for a bench player.

Re: Flip Returning to the T-Wolves?

I'm sure some posters saw the local article where Joe & Mr. D were pleased with the job Flip was doing (Mr. said he'd like to see him here for 10 years)...
Like him or not he's here for the long run.... hopefully he adapts to the way Lee thinks the team should be run :^)
