That adds up to something.

Let Chicago or Cleveland face Miami in the first round. If the Pistons lose some games I hope it is against the Raps.

That is true. I have actually been hoping for a Bulls/Heat 1st round matchup for a couple of months now, ever since it started looking like a possibility. Not only because they both cause the Pistons the most problems but they also happen to be my 2 least favorite teams. So knowing that one of them would be guaranteed to get bounced in the 1st round would be so sweet...

I really wouldnt mind playing miami watching the game that miami played against the bobcats it seems like wade is really conscious of his injury one of the bobcat players grabbed him out of the air to stop him from scoring on a drive and Mr wade actually pushed the guy away from him and kinda held his shoulder instead of doing his usual d-wade flop he allways does. That being said I would rather catch d-wade while he still has that fear in his mind he could get injured instead of avoiding them until the later rounds because by then he could get his confidence back

Re: Pistons can help put Heat get to 3 spot

I look at it this way: there are four legitimate ECF title contenders: Detroit, Miami, Chicago, and Cleveland. If Miami doesn't pass Toronto for the 3 seed, one of either Cleveland or Chicago - I'm guessing Chicago - will be waiting in the ECF only having had to beat New Jersey and Toronto to get there. Detroit, on the other hand, would only get there after banging with Shaq for 6 or 7 games in the second round. If you don't remember what a team that's just battled with Shaq vs. a team that's been resting for several days looks like, think back to the first two games of the 2005 NBA finals...

If we have to face the Heat again, let's face them in the finals. If we face the Bulls or Cavs in the finals, let it be after they've done battle with Shaq. .

OK, I just changed my mind

Dang, I wrote that and then changed my mind almost immediately. Seeing one of Miami, Cleveland or Chicago go out in the first round would just be too sweet. If the Bulls beat us in the ECF because we're worn out by Shaq, then I'll be happy to root for Ben in the NBA finals (as the young Bulls team gets murdered under the bright lights). OTOH if the first rounder somehow manages to beat the Heat, then that team will have the aforementioned Shaq fatigue when they face Detroit.... yes, it's all clear to me now.

Go Raptors.

Re: Pistons can help put Heat get to 3 spot

Bottomline despite our pending regular season conference champs, we have played to inconsistent this season even to be considered a lock to win the first round. Yeah we have handled the Magic with ease, but who's to say that DHoward dominates our passive front court enough to extend that series to 6 or 7 games or the JKIDD, RJ and Visanity find their shots in postseason and speed through our defense enough to make that one go 7. The way Flip is still playing these guys we need a short first round series---with the Wizards. if they lose 5 of their remainihg six, that could happen..

I would rather face a tired heat team in the finals, but not sure how much the refs would play into this just to give the defending chumps a chance to put Shaq and Wade in the finals again for ratings purposes. Either way the Bulls and Heat scare me the most.

Every series will be a dogfight. Nets and Bulls both had Heat on the ropes last year and let them off. We gotta win our first game at home or we lose HCA.
I'd rather see Raptors in the finals than Bulls [punks] Cavs [cadavers] Heat [punks] or Magic [dodo punks].
