Pistons 50th Anniversary Logo Preview

Need4Sheed.com: New Pistons 50th Anniversary Logo

Need4Sheed.com has dug up the logo for next season to commemorate 50 years of Pistons bball. I like it. It's true to the team look.

And Natalie, the owner of N4S, who I count as one of my online Pistons pen pals got a guest blog on Pistons.com. She's done all of the hard work by hand, building N4S into one of the best fan blogs on the net, and quite the web enterprise these days. Kudos to you Natalie!

It looks good...however I can't recall any other teams with a logo celebrating 50.. will it be an NBA first or have other teams had something similar. I don't even remember the Lakers doing it and they are pushing 60??

Nope, not the first. I only checked the Lakers because you mentioned them, but I'm sure others have as well.

Ugh! Terrible design. Too busy - it's not a logo, it's a committee.

They also snubbed the tin man with the Z on his chest, which is unforgiveable.

Pacers have spent all season pontificating about their 40th.

...and I don't really like ours....it looks too much like Stern's art/marketing dept. forced DET to not stray too far from the league's own branding style. (Sorry, I work as a web/multimedia designer...it's what I do)

Re: Pistons 50th Anniversary Logo Preview

Are you saying we should have made you a logo last year?
