It seems to me very interesting that the number of questions by writers to Flipper about AJ have increased lately. The reason I say this is because we are now reading some comments by Flipper about AJ in the press.

We read a bunch during pre-season and then the quotes fell off to zero for what seemed to me to be for a couple of months. Now they have increased again. Flipper's current comments also don't seem to me to be nearly as negative about AJ as they were.

This indicates to me that we may be getting close to seeing AJ get some more playing time than he has been getting.

Re: Amir Johnson - Detroit Piston Tracker

Think they may spend the next weeks getting Stuck ready and once they are comfortable that he can run the team; they will begin with either AJ or AA.

It would be interesting indeed if that's what they are going to do.

I think that was the message Joe gave to Flip in regards to Stuckey. Truth is Stuck is more critical to us getting over the hump than Amir.

The truth, we do not need Stuckey to win a championship this year. But we do need Amir.

Prince can play the point just fine, paired up with either Afflalo or Rip so that they can guard the point on defense while on offense Prince is the point guard.

Adding Sammy Mejia so he could play some point too, as well as play small forward to allow Prince to play more point, also would help.

Having a good backup point is helpful. It gives you more flexibility. But it is not critical. Being short a big in the rotation can't be hidden.

Re: Amir Johnson - Detroit Piston Tracker

Stuckey is already a better PG than Prince.

Besides, we lose a lot at the 3 spot when Tay moves to the 1. So he would have to be 2x the PG for it to make sense.

Mejia? Who do we drop to get him? How does it work salary-wise?

If DET's offense bogs down when pressured with Billups running it, what makes people think that it is going to get better with Stuckey out there?

Once Stuckey learns of what's going on around the basket, he'll bring another dimension on the floor. He's shown to be much better at driving and finishing around the rim than Chauncey.
