Stuckey provides a change of pace. His shooting has been atrocious lately, but he is capable of providing an offensive look, the same way that Hunter provides a defensive one.

Doesn't it sort of seem like he has a 2-handed shot? He needs to get that left hand more to the side of the ball.

He's going to run into the same problem Blalock ran into when the other teams play him to drive only. NEEDS to make them respect his FT line J.

He also provides solid defense, so there should be no dropoff in that regard.

Re: Amir Johnson - Detroit Piston Tracker

Here's an outsider's look at Amir:

Quote:
Despite preseason assurances from Pistons GM Joe Dumars that this was “his year” and that there’d be no more DNP’s, the last guy to ever be drafted straight out of high school is still one of the NBA’s most hyped players who hasn’t accomplished much on the court. He’s averaging just over 8 minutes in the 24 games he’s been called upon, and even that burn has come mostly in garbage time. He’s yet to score or rebound in double figures this season, and at times looks a bit lost in the Pistons’ offensive sets; perhaps he hasn’t quite grasped Flip Saunders’ playbook enough to make his coach feel comfortable with giving him quality minutes.
That said, Johnson has flashed big promise as a shot-blocker–his 22 on the season are more than full-time starters logging heavy minutes like Carlos Boozer, Josh Howard, Chris Wilcox, and Eddy Curry–and he can run the court and finish with pizzazz on fastbreaks. He’s still only 20-years-old, but it’s time for Saunders to start regularly giving this kid some minutes here and there with the starters; his development will be stunted if he’s only playing alongside his fellow backups all year long. And there’s no reason for Primoz Brezec to be ahead of Amir in the rotation of big men. None.

How about that???

Adding Sammy Mejia so he could play some point too, as well as play small forward to allow Prince to play more point, also would help.

Having a good backup point is helpful. It gives you more flexibility. But it is not critical. Being short a big in the rotation can't be hidden.
So you are saying that Meija can effectivly play 3 positions in the NBA SF, SG and PG?

Based on what? I only got to see him play about 8 minutes in the pre-season. His was ok but I don't know. Did not seem to do much but he did grab a few rebounds.

Why do you ask?

Are you interested in buying some or all of it?

A lot more than 45 minutes. I followed Rodney White's career thru NBA League Pass after he left here. He was a fan favorite one year for Denver. I enjoyed watching his career very much thank you.

Pepe Sanchez, after I said I like him better than Atkins (which is not saying much since I never liked Atkins) won yet another gold medal in the Oympics as the starting point guard for Argentina. This guy can pass the ball as well as anyone I have ever seen. (But a bit slow defensively per NBA standards.)
