After reading the article, it sounds like a pretty serious event.

The only thing that prevented our backup point guard from being shot dead was his quick reaction to shut the door. That would have been a terrible tragedy.

Time for him to get some professional security for a while.

This happened Monday night and no Detroit press stories? Wonder if Flip told anyone on the team about this, or if Joe is just finding out now.

Detroit Pistons guard Flip Murray escaped injury early Monday when two masked men approached his Troy home and fired three gunshots into the front door.

According to a report Murray filed with Troy police, he was returning from a Detroit club shortly after 1:30 a.m. Monday, with a woman following him in her own car. Murray entered his home and went to use the rest room, leaving the front door unlocked behind him for the woman to enter.

Scherlinck said when the two got to his residence, Murray hopped out of his car went inside to the bathroom. He told police he left the door open so his friend could enter the home. While he was in the bathroom, he told police he heard the women screaming and ran downstairs.

You gotta love how he is at a strip club until 1:30 AM the night before a game. And you gotta love that they don't call it a strip club in the local papers.

I hope that is a typo, and they meant the woman, otherwise Flip is freakier than I thought.

This sounds a lot more serious, Pacman Jones, type serious. Two guys waiting for Flip to get home? Yelling at him to come to the door? Who ever heard of homeinvaders arguing at the front door? Soon as the door is open, they're in.

Sounds like the wrong people really wanted to have a talk with Flip.

Strip Joints are legal places of business. Just like casinos, they are there for adult entertainment. Any adult has the right to use these places for entertainment. Just cause some of us don't frequent those places doesn't mean we should rush to judge Flip.
