I drive right past his sub every day...there's only maybe 6 or 8 detached condos there if I remember right. I might pull into the court on my way home this afternoon to look for bullet holes.

Re: Flip Murray :: Under Fire

It's also legal to throw $70K cash in the air at a strip club (I think)... just not the greatest idea.

When you are a pro athlete, everybody knows you have tons of cash. When you go to places like this, there are going to be guys/girls that get jealous and either want a piece of you or your wallet.

Who knows what happened. But he almost bit it.

Also, his girlfriend just had a baby. Who was the woman/women following him back from the club? We all know he is a score first point guard...

basketbills makes a good point. We laugh and joke about it, but we're lucky one of our players was not injured.

Re: Flip Murray :: Under Fire

Sounds like we are not getting the full story because this story doesn't make sense. I have never heard of criminals waiting outside asking you to come outside when the door is open. Wouldn't you rather go inside if this was a simple robbery? Perhaps Flip is lucky he was not kidnapped or worse. It also seems like he may have been set up by his female friend or friends.

Someone here said, "Lets not blame the victim, blame the men with the guns." I have to disagree. The simple fact is when you are anyone of stature in this country and your income is known by everyone there are certain places you should not patron if you want to be safe and not the target of a crime or someone trying to make a name for themself. If you do chose to patron these establishments and mingle with average joe's then you need to take precautions like being aware of your surroundings and not taking the same way home. Also if you think you are being followed don't freaking pull into your sub.

Re: Flip Murray :: Under Fire

Took a quick swing thru the court. Brand new condo complex, not detached, and more than a dozen. Looks like only a few of them are occupied, one by the builder. Didn't see any damage as most doorways are set back.

Interesting complex he picked. It's 20-25 minutes from the Palace in one direction and 10-15 minutes from the 'clubs' in the opposite direction

If you're going to do something, do it well.

He must have an extra active libido. If a women has a particularly difficult child birth she is probably going to want to keep her distance from the father and intimacy for a while.

Not that I am condoning Flip's behavior, but just offering up a hypothesis to explain it. Of course all of this is just conjecture on my part and should be read as such.
