Orlando wants Detroit!

8th is enough for Magic - Orlando Sentinel : Top Sports 8th is enough for Magic - Orlando Sentinel : Top Sports

The Magic point guard (Jameer Nelson) said last week that he wanted to get the Pistons in the first round of the playoffs.

"We want Detroit!" center Dwight Howard said, laughing.

"I'm like Dwight. Let's play Detroit," said Grant Hill, the ex-Piston. "But you got to believe or you're defeated from the start. It's going to be hard, but the pressure is on them, not us."

Lucic cut his hand in a fight with Michael Komisarek. "I'll be fine," he said. "(X-rays are) negative, but there's so many broken bones in there from before you can't really tell."

The Magic have won a lot o games recently... Just cause we beat them last game (barely) doesn't mean they can't hang with us.... the best thing we have going for us is their lack of playoff experience.

When I watched the end of the Indy/Washington game last night the announcers were commenting on Dwight Howard saying he wants Detroit...I was thinking what a stupid thing that was to say. Now, reading the article I see it was described as "gallows humor". If Grant Hill plays like he did the last time we played the Magic this won't be easy.

I'd much rather that we play the Wizards but Indy decided to rest their star instead of preserving the integrity of the playoff seedings by actually trying to win.

The magic will definitely be the more interesting series with so many story lines. The Wiz sans Arenas and Butler will be boring. I think in the long run the Magic will help Detroit by keeping them a bit more focused going into round two.

If Darko plays, we will sweep them. Now that Darko might not play, they make take a game from us.

Re: Bring on the Magic :: 2007 Playoffs Round 1

If the Magic win 2 or more games it means they sandbagged all season. At the start of the year they were a 4 seed.

If the Magic win two or more games it will be more a reflection of where Detroit is at than where Orlando has been.
