Yeah, Lee looks like you're ready for some heavy duty action.
I didn't know what to make of this team, they jumped out 10 and 4 and stumbled then clawed their way to the 8th seed.
Perfect

Anyone have the playoff roster? Is Amir on it? Is he active?

The active roster is usually not set until 30 mins before gametime.

Not very impressive for Piston pedigree to say the least.

Letting the Magic shoot almost 60% for the whole game is definitely not Piston pedigree. I don't care if they led the whole game.

Also the starters played way too many minutes.

A win, but a disappointment.

DMC had his best game against the Pistons. He will be concern before the series is done.

I like the Pistons , no , I love the Pistons , but I am sorely dissapointed in the minimal effort put out in Saturdays game. So what if this is just the first round , in order to win a Championship , play every round like it's the Championship and every game like it's sudden death. Yesterday , these guys were barely there.

I saw hints of what they could be in later round but I also saw some things that are going to bite them in later rounds.

Why does NO ONE penetrate ? Howard , Arroyo and DARKO penetrated into the middle ANY time they pleased , yet NO Piston had the courage to " Take it to the hole ". You are not going to win a Championship on mid-range jumpers and threes , you are going to have to penetrate.

Howard got 19 rebounds , NO Piston had double figures in rebounds. That's scary too. The way you played Saturday guys , Chicago , Miami , New Jersey and Cleveland will destroy you in later rounds. There is NO fire and no HUNGER there to win it all.

Better get it or you will go home.

Go Pistons ...

Re: Bring on the Magic :: 2007 Playoffs Round 1

Some thoughts from the game:
Pistons won the game.
The effort wasn't always there, but it was enough.
Pistons are still soft down the middle
The best Pistons penetrator was sitting on the bench the entire game
Pistons didn't get any "home" whistles
The game never looked in danger from the get go
Magic can't stop us when it counts
Darko still doesn't get it
Howard needs to learn to shoot free throws (he should consider the fact that Ben Wallace is on the bench during the deciding moments of the games because he can't shoot free throws)
Sheed needs to continue doing what he was doing in game 1, but he also needs more playing time
I would love to see Amir vs Darko matchup (probably not just I)
Delphino looked good, he's finding his game, now he just needs to keep it up
