As far as home vs away.

This year I don't think that mattered as the Pistons home and road record was almost identical.

Though if the study were broken down by home and road by conference they played against that might be statistically significant. I do not recall if the Pistons had a better or worse home vs road record against the Western Conference or not. If they did then the opposite would be the case against the Eastern Conference since overall they finish about even at home vs on the road.
