| Brown, Carlisle or...? How ironic. Who would have imagined the two coaches leading to the 04 ship would be given their walking papers on the same day just a few years outta Detroit? Canning Carlisle seemed unfair and didn't make sense to me at the time...but hiring Larry made me think about it less. Ya'll know my feelings about Flip. I hope he makes me eat every word I've ever said about him in the next weeks. BUT...what if Flip doesn't get us to the Finals? If you had only Cola & LB to choose from to coach the Pistons next season, who would you pick? |

I think both are very good coaches. I can't stand Brown and I don't like all the sideshow stuff with him. He's pretty much lost my respect. I like Cola so I'd go with him. In fact, I would pick him over all but a few coaches in the league. |

| Re: Brown, Carlisle or...? For X's and O's you can't get much better than LB. Better in playcalling, better in-game adjustments, better coach. Most of the drama is generated by the media looking for stories and LB shouldn't be expected to spend half the season trying to refute BS sensationalism. The guy gets results when the players aren't crybabies and they follow directions. oh, and two words: 1) Michael and 2)Curry Last edited by The Low : 04-26-2007 at 12:57 AM. |

| Re: Brown, Carlisle or...? At this point I think Larry's best coaching days are behind him. The question with RC is has he progressed as a coach or does he still have the faults that plagued him in Detroit. He is still too controlling with his offense but I think he has grown as a coach. I say Cola gets the nod and Mike Curry comes out of retirement to anchor the starting lineup. |
