Both teams are better, and if Ben wants to show anyone up, it's Flip. Not his previous teammates.

I really don't care whether Wallace does well or poorly. I honestly don't. Just give me a Pistons victory in the series.

Like Roscoe, I too am going to root for whatever guy is in the red, white & blue (or Teal ). Always have. Always will. It may make for passionate and lively debates but the rest of this stuff doesn't matter to me. Never has. Never will.

Ask any long term Detroiter, they know the deal.
I was watching the Suns and the Lakers last night, when Mrs. Linwood asked me who was playing. When I told her she said "oh... for me there are only two teams: Detroit and Chicago; the good guys and the bad guys. Let me know when that game is on!"

There has been some talk of Cuban's interest in buying the Cubs lately. After that, they will no longer be lovable. Imagine Cuban in the front row yelling at the umps the whole game.

I'll like them even more if Cuban buys them. I like Cuban. Plus they may do well...unless they run into a team from the Golden State.

I have been impressed with the Pistons' level of focus these last couple of days. They seem pretty locked in. Rasheed Wallace and Richard Hamilton both stayed after practice (Friday) to do some individual shooting drills.

I can't remember the last time I saw those two guys stay after for extra work. They weren't playing the usual shooting games or making friendly wagers, it was down-and-dirty drill work. These guys aren't messing around.

Now, that doesn't mean everything is going to run crisp and clean on Saturday. I expect there to be some rust from the layoff between series. But, the intensity and energy levels are going to be high. And the extra time off might prove to be a Godsend should the Pistons manage to get past the Bulls and into the next two rounds.

I hate Chicago with a passion, always have, always will.

If you are from detroit, it is politicaly correct to hate chicago, this includes not only the Bulls, but also the blackhawks, Bears, Cubs and White Sox. (Isn't that right Old Skool, Linwood).

This rivalry goes back to the days of William Daly and his political machine or maybe even before.

If Chicago somehow wins this series, (yeah right, when hell freezes over), I will be rooting against any team that plays them even if it's one from my hate list.

Chicago must go down.
Lemme tell yall youngens a little somethin, somethin about hate:

Chicago sux and blows!!!!!!!!!!!

The reason I-94 is such bad shape? Its connected to Chicago.

The reason Dennis Rodman became a rainbow fruitcake? He played in chicago.

The reason Chet Lemon is sporting bling bling on his right hand? He left Chicago.

The reason I'm not a brat eating-bed wetting-Sears Tower wanna Empire State building watching disgusting fat body? I dont live in Chicago.

The reason for the riots in 67? People came down from Chicago.

The reason Scott Skiles takes out so many of his emotions at games? He married a man from Chicago.

The reason there is a MOTOWN sound and not a CHITOWN sound? People cant sing in Chicago.

Other reasons to hate Chicago?

Scottie Pippen
Hawk Harrelson
Phil Jackson
Bill Cartwright
Wilbur Wood
Mike Ditka
Chris Duhon
Ozzie Guillen
Tony Esposito
Nick Bowinkle
The annoying song at the United Center
Jerry Krause
Oprah Winfrey
Al Capone
The Cubs
The Bears
The hawks
The Sox
The Bulls
and Flip Murray

I hate them all........

Great stuff HQ. Time to back away from Hate. Look for some finger rolls.

CWalker, rebounds can easily cancel our turnover advantage. I would like to see CWebb just block BBeen out. No double digit boards for BBeen.

Re: Detroit/Chicago Series hype.

This is really good HQ. Lets get them out of the playoffs quick, so that we don't have to talk about it. But I must admit deep inside I love Chicago as a city. I always loved to visit when I lived in D-town. But when it comes to sports - I hate Chi. Although it was hard lately since lately they only had one good team - Bears. Now Bulls are there too. And Ben just adds oil to the fire.

But rebounds don't disrupt an opponents offensive rhythm and kickstart your own offensive tempo like turnovers.

It's what the Bulls like to do, and what the Pistons are best in the league at not doing. This is why I have a pretty good feeling each game will be dependent on this one stat.

Rebounding is second on my list, however I think the Pistons could keep Ben off the boards and still get trounced if they lose offensive continuity like they did last year.
