| Re: The walkoff - Untold story? I'm glad Detroit walked off in 1991 the way they did. I hated the Bulls and I hated how they'd constantly complain about the Pistons playing physical basketball. I was more upset that Detroit lost to the Bulls than anyone else. I could deal with it if they lost to the Celtics that season (1990-91) but anybody but the Bulls.
Why are people making such a huge issue off of grown men not shaking hands after a game? To me it's a tad "soft" considering the hatred between the two teams. Let me get this straight...? The Bulls hated the Pistons but wanted their respect? That's a dysfunctional relationship if I've ever seen one. Besides, in 1988-1990 I don't remember Detroit crying or even asking Chicago to shake their hands after a series? When Jordan would come up and extend his hand, the Pistons were very polite and shook hands, but it wasn't something Detroit needed, wanted or even desired.
"Please shake our hands so we can feel good about ourselves?" That just shows how "weak" the Bulls were in those days. Isiah had to miss 34 games and Detroit still won 50 and wound up in the ECF... if Detroit would've won half of those 34 games they would've wound up 67-15 and dominated the East.
By the way.... Why did Isiah need surgery to repair the tendons on his wrist?... What caused his injury?... You think the wise-guys had something to do with it? I mean there was a new contract between the NBA and NBC and Zeke was the only guy in the way of Jordan winning a title.... Hmmmm? Plus Thomas wasn't on the Olympic team? Come on! Jordan is full of crap! The man can't even give a straight answer nor keep his house in tact but he wants me to purchase what he's selling? |
