That is what I was trying to say with my asterisk. I guess ineffectively.

Good call not going with the M&M analogy.

I concur. One of my biggest question marks and a complete mystery to me on how you can keep a double-double never playing.

In this series it could be huge. Nazr would be effective against Z and he'd be more consistent. He does have a propensity to get into foul trouble, but that's where we have enough bodies to throw out there. Why not give Nazr some burn here?

I might rather see DD first based on what he got done in game 1. Nazr has a nicer touch around the hoop (as long as it doesn't involve catching), but no where near the toughness to bring down boards against the Cavs.

That's my biggest knock on NazMo. He's just not tough. You can live with the other stuff, but soft fouls and getting out-muscled is demoralizing.

Re: Pistons/Cavs - Webber vs. Ilgauskas

It is difficult to say what would have happened. In the only game Nazr played against Cavs he had 10 points and 6 boards while Z had 16 and 6. Pistons also outrebounded Cavs 50 to 43.

Re: Pistons/Cavs - Webber vs. Ilgauskas

I really underestimated the Z-Man in this series. He is freaking 7-3!!

He just stands in the lane (sometimes too long) and lofts up some Frankenstein hook, and it drops. As ugly as it is, if he is hitting it, you can`t stop it.

Then, he has a nice touch on his 12-15 foot jumper. Again, at 7-3 all he has to do most of the time is put his arms up to alter shots.

I think C-Webb can be effective against Z, by somehow getting his jumper to fall. Then get by Z by pump faking and drawing fouls on him. They both are slow as mollasses, but Ilgauskas is having his way with whoever is guarding him, especially Webber.

I say run the offense through Webber in Game 4 a lot. Chauncey is sucking, and C Webb can get by Z any time and set up his teammates.
