Catch this part from Billups.

“We got to a point every year since I’ve been here where there’s only four teams playing, conference finals, so we’ve had some great years and we can have some more good years.”

From Great to Good is where we are headed at this point. Good does not win titles.

Billups isn't smart enough to say something like that intentionally...

I'm disappointed in the news, but unfortunately, I can't say that I'm all that surprised...

I think Chauncey needs rest and stop talking to the reporters for a while.

Re: Ground Zero Fallout

Well you cant blame RIP it is indeed a frustrating season. put the blame on STU JACKSON AND DAVID STERN. since he is not as big as those superstarts hu gets a call by a snap on the finger..here comes the refs..prrrrt foul..I guess Joe dumars you have to do some changes wake gone were the days of hard nose defense. Nowadays its more on offence oriented league, thats why these so called superstars gets 30 or more points per night because of special treatment. and yet put these american superstars on international tourneys..WOW BEATEN ARGENTINA hahaha greece hahahahah and yet they get all the millions. lets accept it ill be piston for life but i guess the NBA would never allow what Detroit Basketball is al about..So joe WAKE UP.. NBA SCREW YOU!!!

It was not pretty in the Pistons locker room following game 6 in Cleveland saturday night. I have heard from a few good sources that following his postgame and now post-season speech, Flip Saunders got an earful from a very angry and verbose Chris Webber. Apparently C-Webb did not take too well to what Saunders had to say to his team and basically shouted at him "that's it" and "that is the best you got"? There were other obscenities mixed in there as well. This coming from a guy who averaged under 10 points per game in the playoffs and 6 rebounds. Maybe Flip will share Webber war stories with Mo Cheeks?
I like Matt Dery. I just don't like hearing that there are unnamed "sources" of what is said in the Pistons locker room.

Every time this franchise has a problem there always seems to be an unnamed source or leak that makes sure that the bad guys are clearly defined.

Re: Ground Zero Fallout

How much of that can we actually believe is true? Maybe all, maybe not. I don't think we'll ever find out for sure.

Re: Ground Zero Fallout

So let me get this straight: Ben Wallace, Rasheed Wallace, and Chris Webber are all malcontents that don't think the coach knows what he is doing?

It's crazy isn't it?

I can't believe I fell for the whole Ben leaving will be fine statement. I believed in that only 20%, but that is still too high of a percentage. Now we should all know that Sheed should not go, and if Webber were younger he should stay too.
