Ground Zero Fallout

Odd happenings at the Palace today at Detroit Bad Boys

Quote:
Blakely points out that Rip Hamilton and Chris Webber skipped this (voluntary) meeting. Considering it’s unlikely Webber returns, that’s not a big surprise, but it’s too bad Hamilton, a co-captain, couldn’t set a good example by being there.

Be sure to read the rest. Sounds like Joe has a very sensitive situation boiling up.

Re: Ground Zero Fallout

I always liked Rip, but I never thought of him as team leader. Perhaps appointing most of the starting lineup captains was a mistake?

That I don't doubt.

If I was Rip I might resent that nobody seems to take it as seriously as he does (not drinking/personal chef/etc/etc/etc)

Re: Ground Zero Fallout

Who knows what the reason is? But it sure doesn't sound good. Also Flip left very early, which is unusual. I guess we'll have to watch to see if anything develops from this.

Re: Ground Zero Fallout

Hmmm. Wonder what is transpiring? Verrrry interesting.

Maybe Flip isn't as safe as I thought (yea).

Webber is a jerk. Good riddance. I'm tired of him. Who needs a choker?

Rip? What's up with that?

Re: Ground Zero Fallout

Let's all step back a moment though and note the key word.

You have to remember, this could've been the last game Web played in the NBA. Maybe he's a jerk, but maybe it is not very easy.
