Brilliant stuff.

He knows a lot of the goings on, but he doesn't seem to be able to put things together.

Re: Raptors Blogger wants Amir Johnson

I really dislike McCosky and the scheming mentality he represents. I wish he would go cover somebody else, like Miami.

He uses a condescending tone with his readers, constantly saying things like "Listen..." like he's your buddy with a hot rumor. He deliberately blurs the distinction between reporting inside info and just making stuff up, in an effort to boost his credibility.

Here's what he just said about Amir:

1. Joe D. and John Hammond love him, "some" on the coaching staff think he sucks, and Flip is on the fence.

2. Amir is weak and wimpy.

3. Amir needs to "start showing some court judgment" (i.e., he doesn't have any) and "often forgets plays and assignments".

4. If he doesn't "learn how to play the game" he will soon be out of the league like Rodney White.

I have no idea why McCosky is bashing Amir, and none of what he's saying sounds very plausible. Is it based on something someone within the organization told him? Is he serving as a mouthpiece in a propaganda battle with Amir's agent? Is he pushing some weird personal agenda? Is he just filling space on his blog? Whatever his reasons are for writing this, McCosky doesn't want you to know.

Re: Raptors Blogger wants Amir Johnson

On a general level, I can certainly believe that some of the coaches are saying, "hold on a minute, we're not so sure this guy is a savior" in response to the high hopes that Joe has been putting out there about Amir. But playing the Rodney White card seems more than a bit over the top.

I think if Joe D. resigns C-Bill that there is a chance that AJ may get traded. As I posted on another thread. I just don't see their games going together.

AJ is a young frisky talented "Colt" (I am sure the Manning would love see him try out for the Colts as a Wide Out - LOL) that likes to run and run and run like the Suns and Warriors do.

C-Bill is an old and plotting point guard who prefers to run rigid structured plays, which can be easily defended against in the playoffs. Flip and C-Bill fit like a hand and glove.

The only way AJ will get the minutes that we need him to get is for Joe D. to replace C-Bill at guard with someone like Kobe!! LOL
