Technically, the title of this thread does say today. Today is not over, so anything that happens today, like starting at 6pm, webcast, the first summer league game for the Pistons, still counts yet. The title does not say the era has already started. It says it will start today. This implied statement could be right or wrong. We will begin to see the answer quite shortly. By the way, has anyone posted just how we "tune in" and how good the picture will be? Well, I am off to see "Evan Almighty".

I think Lee hit the nail on the head. It starts today. It's like planting some green beans and waiting to see how they will grow.

I wouldn't limit the discussion to just the lighter-colored veggies like green beans. Some of the darkoer produce such as radishes and turnips have a chance, too, provided you use darko, rich soil. As long as the sun comes up and you don't get too many darko days, everything should grow fine if you remember to water regularly.

Perhaps these new guys will show the same potential as young Will Blalock. Remember that three-pointer he drained in January? Nothin' but net. Let the new era begin!

Good point about Blalock, Bill. We need to find a way to replace those three points that Will gave us last year.

This "new era" Pistons team has one guy whose talent at three pointers remains untapped. Antonio McDyess has hit 7 three pointers during his career and none during his time in a Pistons uniform.

I think Dyess is the man to hit that three this year.

You guys think small.

I'm thinking something really BIG!!

I think we get the sweet three from Acker. But it's going to be an all net three with a foul too.

It will be so huge they will call him "Ack and the Beanstalk" after that. He'll make us forget all about Will Blalock and Rodney White too.

If Acker did make the Piston squad we would have another Compton CA guy. That would give us 3 guys from Compton CA. (Acker, Afflalo, and Prince) and one other from Los Angeles proper; i.e., Amir.

3 guys from Compton CA. Are we kidding or what? The total population of Compton in 2000 was under 95,000.

Compton, California - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

At that point we should change our name from Detroit Pistons to So.CA Pistons. LOL

You guys laugh now, but when you are typing darko instead of dark, you will have no one to blame but yourselves!

Did you have to proofread that post to make sure you spelled dark correctly?
