| Re: Jason Maxiell 3rd Year I still remember being excited by Max's college game with the ability to post up, finish and hit the mid-range jumper. I don't think people have seen his full repretoire yet. He has the potential to be a very dangerous situational scorer. The kind of guy who can come off the bench and give you 10~12 points in a quarter. Also, his free throw shooting looks much improved in the SL. He seems to have settled on a form for his shot.

Lucic cut his hand in a fight with Michael Komisarek. "I'll be fine," he said. "(X-rays are) negative, but there's so many broken bones in there from before you can't really tell." |

| Re: Jason Maxiell 3rd Year I suggested on another forum that perhaps Max is trying to broaden his game by adding quickness, and maybe play some at the SF position. I could see the Pistons using a wide variety of front court combos next season. With Amir possibly working his way into the regular rotation at both PF and C, maybe Max sees that and, from what we have seen in Summer League, is working on his midrange game so that he is an option at SF. I think if Corliss could handle SF, Max can, as he is quicker than Corliss was. So, depending on matchups, I can see Tay, Sheed, Max, Amir, and Dyess all getting substantial minutes in different configurations. One person replied that Max is purely a PF, but I think that remains to be seen. If he can continue to improve his midrange game as well as his already good defense, I think he could see time at SF. He obviously is working on that in SL. He is more than just a dunker. |

| Re: Jason Maxiell 3rd Year He certainly seems to sound like Corliss, although he's much more athletic and a better shot blocker than Corliss. If he can get quick enough to guard LeBron in spurts, it would be a huge help. Players like him just give you flexibility, since he'll be able to be a big 3 or a small, but still strong 4. |

| Re: Jason Maxiell 3rd Year I am not sure that Coriliss ocmparison is entirely correct. Corliss was never great on defense, and definitely not a threat to block a shot. His scoring mainly came from the paint and his jump shot was not entirely reliable. If JMax can keep that shot going and keep the SL free throwing, he should be a candidate for a 6th man of the year. |
