I am just tired of the rotation being almost as predicable as lee lineups that he has posted for years.
To win a championship rotations are suppossed to be predictable. Your guys need to know:
  1. When they're playing,
  2. How long they're playing, and
  3. What's expected of them when they do play.
That was the beauty of LB, he knew at the start of the season what the goal was, he decided the best way to accomplish the goal, and the whole season was dedicated to ironing out the wrinkles on the team so that they peaked going into the playoffs as guys got comfortable and confident in their PREDICTABLE ROLES!!! Irradic substitution patterns are for teams like Golden State trying to get to the next level and discover their strengths because they have no real team identity.

Porter would be an excellent choice and I used to support him as the #1 option.
Call it a feeling or whatever, I just feel that Curry is going to be a HOF coach for some team and I hope its ours.

Exactly how many games has Curry coached, head or assistant, at any level of basketball?
0, none, zilch. But he was head of the players union and just left a job working for the league. So he has worked in the business after retirement.

We'll have to wait and see how his career goes from here on.

I think Laimbs would command quite a bit more of players' respect.

Yes, Curry at least has not gotten fired from anywhere.

I could go for Laimbeer as well. Especially if Mahorn joined his staff. One thing, I highly doubt either of them would have a problem with Sheed. When you know your coach could squash your head like a grape - may cause him to think more.

But Curry has such people skills that he would be able to get everyone to buy in.

Re: Joe D. Mandates Piston Culture Change

Beyond the obvious, I don't believe it. And this goes into Flip's list of quotes that he goes back on.

When was the last time a player earned PT through his play on this team? Tay doesn't count, Joe ordered him in, and then fired the coach for not playing him.

We are a culture of playing players based on personality, "Piston DNA," not talent. Michael Curry, Darvin Ham, Derrick Coleman (though he was so bad Dumars had to release him to keep LB from playing him), Mo Evans, Tony Delk, Flip Murray, and now Nazr.

None of them earned PT they were given it, though a few of them lossed PT due to bad play.

And we continue the tradition of Joe mandating that the rooks be GIVEN PT, without them having earned one minute. At what point does performance come into the equation of playing time?

Re: Joe D. Mandates Piston Culture Change

I would much rather see Laimbeer get the shot than #12. This team is looking like it's preparing for a decade of "competitive, but not good enough to win."

Re: Joe D. Mandates Piston Culture Change

I prefer Curry to Laimb, but Curry Lamb ain't that bad of a dish....OK that was stupid. I would prefer a guy who has not coached 4/5 teams in the NBA prior to arriving. I'm so sick of these recycled loser coaches like O'Brien and Dunleavy I don't know what to do.
