Sounds to me as though there is still a power struggle going on here. Will Sheed be traded? I think at this point it is more likely that if it comes to logger heads that it will be Sheed that will be gone not Flip, mainly because Sheed's game at this point has already started the old age decline.

I don't think there's a power struggle because I don't think Flip has any power.

Sheed could still be traded, but it won't be to mollify Saunders.

I like the fact that Flip put it out there. He wants to do his job and need to let his team know where he stands. Sheed stays, but Joe needs to support his coach. I'm figuring an extension of his contract will do the trick.

Saunders, Wallace patch up relationship

Against the Cavaliers, Wallace grew increasingly frustrated at Saunders' substitutions, especially when he went to a smaller lineup. Wallace also fought Saunders on defensive calls, which caused confusion, particularly at the end of Game 5 when LeBron James was able to drive to the basket twice in the final minute of regulation.
"I don't anticipate any problems going forward," Saunders said. "It's his competitiveness and wanting to win, and when things don't go right for him, he has a tendency to blow up. I do think he stepped over the line, and it's something we have talked about, and I am sure it's something we will address again before training camp."

I think Sheed was right and Dumars probably knows it. Flips substitutions and defensive schemes in the Clev series did suck.

The difference between Sheed and Ben is that Sheed had a good series and he has not openly challenged Dumars to a him or me ultimatum.

If Sheed is traded I don't think it will be because of Flip.

Respectfully disagree. I don't think Flip shoulda said anything to the media about the relationship he shares with Sheed. Talk to Sheed about it only.

My opinion is based on Sheed's personality and the way he reacts to others. Sheed puts his frustrations out for all to see, and sometimes a preemptive similar strike by the coach can set the boundaries for a new and promising relationship. Of course, I would not reccommend this approach be used with others on the team.

I agree but Dumars may have told him that it needed to have been adressed. I just can't see Flip doing that without permission. He could have but I doubt it.
