I don't really care what position he or Max play as long as I see them on the court at the same time. Throw Stuckey out there and not a lot of teams are gonna have the athletes to compete with that second lineup.

So, this season we will have the equivalent of 3 first round picks in the rotation. As long as they get the consistent minutes that Joe has promised, this is indeed an infusion of the energy and athleticism that Joe described right after the season ended.
Say What?

Pretty sure he means "rookies" with first round talent. Counting Amir as a rookie since he hasn't played the last 2 years.

Then there will be only 2 at the most. Hot Rod and AA, not 3.

If Mejia sticks (longshot) we'll have 3.

2 at the most "in the rotation". If Mejia sticks he will go to the D league to start the year unless there is an injury. Even then he wouldn't be in the rotation.

Didn't someone already explain that they were likely counting Amir as a theoretical "rookie"?

He would make person #3.

I guess you're correct. The media seems to think that Dupree is a much better player at this point and that he'd be on the bench with Mejia going to either NBDL or Europe.

He said first round picks. AJ was not a first round pick. Theoretical rookie or not.

What he said was "3 first round picks in the rotation".

He never even said anything about rookies, even though that was probably what he meant. But he said first round and AJ was not a first round pick.
