Hayes shot the 3-pointer at a higher percentage (36%) than all Pistons except Tay last season. Like most Pistons, the guy is an excellent free throw shooter (84%).

If he can hit a few shots here and there and play solid D, I am sure most will be happy.

I'm guessing that he probably takes difficult shots. That is why people who watch him think he is a good shooter, and people who look at his actual shooting percentage think he is an average shooter.

His FG percentage is about the same as Sheed and Billups (42%). He shot 50% his final year at Georgia.
