Do tell Bill.

Lucic cut his hand in a fight with Michael Komisarek. "I'll be fine," he said. "(X-rays are) negative, but there's so many broken bones in there from before you can't really tell."

Small differences in percentages can be big.

If you take overall FG% last year, Delfino was .415 and Hayes was .410.

If you take eFG% last year, Delfino was .476 and Hayes was .471.

If you take eFG% on jump shots only, then Delfino was .445 and Hayes was .431.

I'm just trying to find a reason why people who actually watch him consider him to be a better shooter than a guy like Carlos Delfino. Again, my theory is that he must be taking tougher shots on average.

It could be that he has a nicer looking shot. Players who have a nice looking release and follow through on their shots and shoot nice looking shots are remembered as better shooters than someone who has an ugly looking release and shot even if the the latter guy actually shoots better, provided the difference in shooting percentage is not a lot.

You see a player with a nice looking release and follow through on their shot and what do you say. "Boy he is a nice looking shooter".

Could be why Tay is not thought of as a deadly shooter.
