Since the award was first given for the 1985-86 season, no Pistons player has every won it.

Will this be the first year?

At this time before the season has actually started, from what I saw of his game toward the end of last year and in the SL this summer, I would consider JMax a strong candidate to win the award this coming year.

Louis Williams?

Is he going to stand out to even get voters attention? Who knows what other players may have a huge year? There are too many unknowns to say. But he sure does have a chance.

Excellent candidate. In fact he could very well be the consensus favorite at this time.

Max has already semi-broken out. He would need to be seeing starters minutes and production to win it.

Since the MIP award is given on the basis of what you have done lately, it is very difficult to predict who will win it from year to year.

It is not an award that carries over from the previous year.

With that in mind, damn near everyone has a chance.

I'd say no. I don't expect him to do much more than he already did. He's a decent bench asset if the matchup is in his favor, that's it.
Don't get me wrong, I love this guy. But he won't have a more glorious career than Corliss Williamson, and that would be enough!
If given enough minutes, AJ could win the MIP much more likely!

A number of Piston players could be considered based on their playoff performances...........Let's see........Chauncey, Tay , and Hunter.........

I bet we could throw Webber in there as well.

I bet us Pistons fans would love it, if Nazr won the award. Now that would really be something.
