Part of being a good GM is doing the homework to FIND the right answer. I'm so tired of people (AND McCrapsky) acting as if you can't make a change until you have an indisputable solution glowing in the sky like a magical orb.
What change do you suggest then? Or are you saying Dumars isn't doing his job? With regard to the center position, you might have a point. I just don't think there are a lot of solutions out there. I agree with your "you need to look under every rock" mentality, Low, but whose to say Dumars hasn't?

My sides are splitting. We need to send that to some General Managers and Charles Barkley.

One bone to pick. I never said the team was below mediocre...only Nazr.

Low, can you name 10 centers better than NazMo?

Well, let's put it this way...I'd have to comb through several rosters and watch a few D league games, but I could probably come up with at least 2 legitimage replacements. Then, at the end of it all. If you understand you have garbage at your center position, then bite the bullet and play your young big men, get them the reps, the experience, and the instruction rather than continuously wasting cap money on retread veterans who DON'T PRODUCE (i.e. Webber, Nazr).

Re: Stop complaining about the Center position

If you look at this list, there are about 40 guys ahead of Nazr who would do a better job if we could swap them in for Naz on our roster.

NBA Basketball Player Rankings - CBS SportsLine.com

Virtually all of the guys behind him are HORRIBLE.

Re: Stop complaining about the Center position

Those rankings are pretty wacky. Yao Ming was ranked behind Zaza Pachulia, and Webber was about 15 spots ahead of Shaq.

Re: Stop complaining about the Center position

But look on the bright side...Nazr is better than Rafael Araujo, Scot Pollard or Michael Doleac...or at least comparable to them.

Re: Stop complaining about the Center position

I'm not saying the rankings are good or bad, I'm just putting it out there because it lists all of the centers in the NBA.

And of those guys have happen to be ahead of him on that list, 90% of them are better than he is.
