And of those guys have happen to be ahead of him on that list, 90% of them are better than he is.
I'll give you 100 percent are better then he is... how many do we have a chance at getting... even if we were to go over the salary cap.

There just isn't much out there that is availble... even less so if we work with a salary cap.

I agree with you. Just responding to Roscoe's contention that there are not 10 better centers.

If I were Flip, I'd probably incorporate Nazr to some extent. The problem is that his weaknesses are only really masked by Sheed. And Sheed seems to get very frustrated when he is forced to be responsible for Nazr's man. If Sheed picks up a foul helping out, he'll go ballistic and if he watches uncontested layups, he'll go passive agressive on Flip.

Nazr mixed with the youth on the bench is also not a good combination.

I really don't know how we can afford to give him a significant role. He's insurance to get us through a month or two if someone better gets injured. And on that front, I'd much rather have Dale Davis.

Re: Stop complaining about the Center position

We have several players better than him on our roster that will get squeezed for minutes if you play Nazr. This team will be at its best with Sheed or Dice playing center and with Max and Amir getting minutes at PF. It will not be at its best with Nazr on the floor.

So, as has been said several times, the only time Nazr should see playing time is against the extremely small number of players that actually require a big center to play against them. That is what is best for the team and what I think is likely to end up happening if we don't make a trade.

Re: Stop complaining about the Center position

totally agree... if its a question of his mins I am all for him playing mins only against certain type of matchups..

I know that Sheed has commenented he doesn't want to play center, I'd really like to see him explain his comments. Does he mean he doesn't want to play the shaq's of the league or what? He can play the 5 for us and be effective even if he drifts to the outside.

I think that the 4 headed 4/5 that we have without Naz should be enough most nights of the week.

Re: Stop complaining about the Center position

I wasn't contending that there aren't 10 better.

I just wanted to see if The Low would post,
  1. Ben Wallace
  2. Ben Wallace
  3. Ben Wallace
  4. Darko
  5. Ben Wallace
  6. Darko
  7. Ben Wallace
  8. Ben Wallace
  9. Dale Davis
  10. Cheick Samb

Re: Stop complaining about the Center position

With no other changes I cannot possibly see how Maxiel and/or Johnson will not play mostly center next season.

We already have 2 solid PF's and just signed a new backup SF. There is Mohammed but he did not work out last season as the starting center. Not like something is going to magically change on its own.

Re: Stop complaining about the Center position

We can talk about this until we're blue in the face, however, until Joe gets us something else we have to get used to an idea of having Nazr at center.

Nah, it's warm like butter. Like a burger. StoveTop for The Low's drops.
