The guys in blue are players the Pistons could get without trading a core player or a good bench player. A Nazr, Flip, Dupree combination could work with those guys except for Camby. The Pistons would have to do a little more to get him.

This is where many posters are in their own little fantasy world. You cannot just pick a legitimate NBA player off another roster and think that Joe Dumars can call up that team's GM and say we'll give you Nazr, Dupree, Hunter and Murray for the guy. Why would any team in the NBA want another team's scrubs for a contributing player?

come on.... who wouldn't want to trade a starter for a backup center a back up guard and a great vetern to sit on the bench in a suit?

that actually sounds great with the rookie salary being so low... we should be able to call up portland and get there young stud Oden

What perfect world are you living in? Think before you post because it can be done. If someone could help me out here because I remember the Pistons getting a certain All Star big man without trading Chauncey, Rip, Tayshaun, Ben Wallace, Mehmet Okur, and our 2nd round draft pick Darko Milicic. Who wanted the Pistons scrubs then? I am not living in a fantasy world, and I am also not living in a world were a good trade cannot happen. If a GM has the mentality you have then their would be little improvement as far as trades go. Sometimes you have to propose a crazy deal because it just might work. If you keep trading equals that won't get you anywhere.

As of right now a trade involving those guys for a good center probably would not work, but like I said it does not have to happen right now. A good week or two for those guys and their stocks rise. Maybe one of the players the Pistons want to trade for has certain issues with the team he's already on. If things like that happen a "fantasy deal" can be done.

Re: Stop complaining about the Center position

This discussion reminds me of the transformers where you see these robots in the street and my friend sees this guy bail on a motorcycle and slide under a robot and says "that's unrealistic"

On another note, i thought himat highlighted some feasible options.

Sacto just signed Moore, I doubt they'd be interesting in a trade like this. Philly is not going to let Dalembert go. Shareef was never known for his D. Camby is out of our current trade possibilities. That leaves Wright as the only choice.

Re: Stop complaining about the Center position

So, the key is not trading away centers when you have them, because they are unusually difficult to get.

Now, I don't want to keep beating a dead horse, but wouldn't Dale Davis be good to have for 1 more season while we keep looking to deal Naz?

Waive Dupree and just sign Dale for the min.
