Flip M will either be glued to the bench, traded or released. He serves no earthly purpose here in Detroit and it's only a matter of time before his case will be closed.

Hayes will also see a lot of minutes at the SF/SG spots.

But as far as Flip M, stick a fork in him, he's done.

It is not easy and we shouldn't expect too much.

Now on to Murray. I think that he has the best 1-2 position talent on the team. Yep, you heard me right. His overall talent is not being used and he certainly has some internal responsibility for this happenstance. This guy can shoot the 3, slash and finish (right or left hand ladies and gentlemen) at the rim. Passing is consist to the occasion. And the biggest knock (which is the traditional odd-ball criticism) was that he couldn't play defense. Ahem...was there not a few times last year when he got into the opponents face, and came away from the ball. This guy is the complete package. And to follow the analogy from Coe, stationary with a tough and glossy (exhibiting free radical polymerization) finish. Unfortunately for us, this quality paper has smudge marks all over it. This guy needs the right coach and the right organization. Won't happen in Detroit.

So when the pumpkins start their routine of trading the Flips, I quietly agree with the one involving the player. Another Billups in the making and I wish I could have one summer with this guy.
Can I have some of whatever you're on?

I would have to disagree. Here are the combo guys on this team: Flip Murray 1/2, Chauncey Billups 1/2, Rodney Stuckey 1/2, and Amir Johnson 3/4. Flip isn't that bad, but he is not the best combo player on this team.

Amen. Even when Chauncey was injured and Flip got the minutes, he still was quite inconsistent and hasn't shown enough to grant significant minutes.

Re: rodney stuckey

I think Flip could have succeeded if put in a winning situation with the team.

He's got talent and skill, finding the right situation has been a problem.

I don't know about the fork, but I sure wish he was better looking.

You had me worried for a second, I thought that you were going to blame the playoff loses on him. Oh well, give it time.

Whoops, wrong Flip.

Hot Rod and AJ are the future of the Pistons, starting this coming year.

They will make Piston fans forget all about Stockton and Malone. Say what?

On the subject of combo players, Mejia can play point, shooting guard, and small forward.
