This is an excellent point. If you're trying to unload Murray and/or Mohammed, it really helps your chances when both guys come to camp in excellent shape ready to make actual contributions to the team.

Welcome to the NBA and MeiGray Group Game-Worn Jersey Authentication Program.

The NBA and MeiGray Group Game-Worn Jersey Authentication Program is proud to offer fans and collectors across the globe the opportunity to own a piece of history … a jersey worn by Rodney Stuckey of the Detroit Pistons in the 2007 NBA Rookie Photo Shoot, held at the Madison Square Garden Training Center in Tarrytown, New York on July 27, 2007.
There is probably no number on it. So for those who don't like him wearing #3 this is probably a once in lifetime chance to own an authentic NBA jersey worn by Hot Rod without Big Ben's number on it.

NBA Auctions Listing #87945991

Rookie Rodney Stuckey was doing rehab work with Arnie Kander today, holding a miniature football in his broken left hand through the entire session. The holding and squeezing of the football helps strengthen the hand, which was broken in three spots in the final exhibition game. Stuckey's spirits are remarkably high, which shouldn't be surprising. The kid is pretty much unflappable, as far as I can tell.
The guy will be back with vengeance. He'll be a solid member of the rotation by the end of the season.

Looks like the bidding closed at $350. I wonder if that guy will be glad he spent that much in about ten or twenty years.

Blaha said tonight that Hot Rod may not return until the middle of December worse case and the beginning of December best case.

4 - 6 weeks from tonight is the current estimate.

Let him take his time and make sure it completely heals. There will be enough time for him to get into the flow of things.

I think what happened with AJ is that he tried to come back too soon. He never should have played in the last pre-season game. As Flip said he had reduced strength in his bad ankle/leg.

I think he pushed himself too hard wanting to come back sooner than he should have thereby aggravating the Achilles.

You are correct. Better to safe than sorry, but Hot Rod's injury to his left hand is not as big a problem if he comes back a little too soon as long as the bones are sufficiently healed. With AJ's ankle injury if you play before it is fully healed and the necessary muscle strength in the leg area is not rebuilt you can mess up too many other parts of your ankle/leg and even your back, which is not the case with a hand injury.
