Amir shot 80% in Pre-Season last year and it did not seem to matter. They already had their mind made up that he was going to spend it in the D-league.

At least Samb has something going for him that we could use another Center.

Actually, just like Tiger Woods has a history of shooting in the low sixties so does AJ have a history of shooting in the low sixties from the field!!!

I'm with Nazr. He brings the energy.

So you guys think he is going to learn from his mistakes from last season and turn it around?

I hope so.

I'd ask a different question. Anyone who picks Mohammed to start, ask who they think should not get minutes among Hayes, Amir, JMAX, and Dyess. This is because the numbers do not work out with all these people playing. If Hayes plays a lot, then there is only going to be the 96 minutes total to split between power forward and center. Splitting that 4 ways, between Amir-who Dumars says will get no DNP's this year, JMAX, said to be getting increased minutes, our all star starter Sheed, and Dyess, who was just signed to a lucrative 2 year extension, gives about 23 minutes each on average to these four players. Lets imagine Mohammed gets so much as 20 minutes-it puts that average down to 18. (and thats with Sheed getting at least 33, so guys like Dyess, Amir, and JMAX will really have short minutes if they even play.)

So what makes you think Hayes is going to play alot? He'll fight for his minutes, but he won't be contributing plenty of minutes. He'll back up Tay, probably along with AJ and even JMax.

Actually, their minutes will be the same length as everyone else's; i.e., 60 seconds!!!

It is just that they will get fewer of them.!!! LOL

Sorry, I couldn't resist to toss the corn.

There will only be about 15 minutes available behind Tay. Most likely less. Hayes played 20 minutes a game last year, this coming off some injury problems-and for a playoff team. Lets say he plays just 10 minutes a game this season, leaving maybe 3 minutes left for someone else to play a bit of small forward. You got Afflalo and Mejia for those minutes. Even Stuckey. Unless you think Hayes simply will not play at all, no, there is not going to be minutes for Amir nor JMAX at small forward.
