Detroit Pistons:

Stars: None. But I really enjoyed Mark Aguirre and Adrian Dantley back in the day.

Supporting cast: As has been the case now for several seasons, Detroit uses a well-balanced attack and does not rely on anyone to be a big-time scorer. Richard Hamilton is still in his prime at age 29 and can be expected to be a 20-4-4 player who shoots well. That makes him a No. 2 guard, similar to Ben Gordon. Chauncey Billups may be Detroit's top fantasy performer. Billups averaged 17 points, 7.2 assists and 2 turnovers last season and was second in assist-to-turnover ratio. He also is good for a steal and nearly two treys per game, so Billups is solid as a No. 1 point guard. Tayshaun Prince has put up nearly identical numbers over the past three seasons, so expect minimal improvement to his averages of 14.3 points, 5.2 rebounds and one 3-pointer per game. Rasheed Wallace is entering his 13th season and is well past his prime. He will start in maybe 50 percent of leagues with his averages of 12 and 7.

Battle for minutes: Antonio McDyess has played in a career-high 82 games in each of the last two seasons. His averages of 8 and 6 will make him a free agent. If McDyess plays center, then look for 15-plus minutes a night to go role players Jason Maxiell and Nazr Mohammed.

Re: Central Division Preview by RotoTimes

I think Tay is the most interesting guy, because his numbers could rise, but they haven't. Whether it's burnout or a plateau, he's the most likely source of significant improvement in the starting lineup.

Lucic cut his hand in a fight with Michael Komisarek. "I'll be fine," he said. "(X-rays are) negative, but there's so many broken bones in there from before you can't really tell."

I think Brian Doolittle's writing reminds me of his namesake

How can you write a team capsule of the 2007-08 Pistons without mentioning AJ or Hot Rod but mention Nazr?

I think that the guy has got a hole in his screen door. "from Tim Conway"
