Smile Tay's Tired Legs

He had tired legs at the end of last season.

I have no idea why he played this summer.

From his play during the exhibition season it appears that he will be starting the season with tired legs. If this is true it is definitely not a good thing.

The same with C-Bill

I know it is a great thing to play for your country, but considering how both of these guys were exhausted last June I don't think it was in the Pistons best interest that they were on the FIBA team even if their minutes were not that high.

Hopefully I am wrong and they will both come out of the gate in November in fine form

Re: Tay's Tired Legs

I think this whole "tired legs" thing is completely overblown. Tay or Rip have a 2-for-14 shooting night in the playoffs and it must be "tired legs" caused by Saunders not giving them enough rest. Sometimes, you just have to hold guys accountable for their poor play.

Question Re: Tay's Tired Legs-Or icecycles on his butt tracker

I was thinking Tay was still our weak link in our starting 5. I thought when his numbers were down that would be our reason for losing. Not so.
We've only lost 7 games so far with 3 or 4 close calls but it wasn't Tay that blew it.
...It looks like Tay can still be our most erratic player, his average about 10 points and 6 rebound. With 4 important assists.
...In the 7 losses Tay numbers are about norm. With only the Bulls, Rockets and Celts games as inferior about 4 and 4. In the other losses anywhere up to 20 pts.
...So this tells me the Pistons still win and lose as a team. Usually all the players numbers are suppressed in a loss. [Aside from the stupid games where Rip went 5 for 20]
I guess this is a good thing?

Smile Re: Tay's Tired Legs

Stuckey said that Friday night he had heavy legs.

I don't know if this is the same as tired legs or not.

Stuckey's tired legs as he said would go away as he played more minutes and got into game condition.

I have sat right in front of Tay, watching him shoot, late last season. No lift on his shots. Dead legs. Its not just theory, but fact.

Tay never has any lift on his shot. It's Tays long arm extension that gets his shot off. Trust, I have been praying for Tay to ELEVATE on his shot. If he ever did get elevation on his shot, he'd be literally unstoppable.

Re: Tay's Tired Legs

Tay and CB played the whole summer. Both are currently avaeraging a little over 33.5 mins. Billups might drop to 30 as long as the Pistons can blow out a few ooponents this season and Stuckey gets his mins up abouve 18 or so. I think if Hayes amd Amir can be more consistant, then Tays mins can drop to below 30 too. But thats all on those two players abilities and Flip's mindset....

Just to be clear, I am not talking about elevation, but rather the lift the legs provide as a vital part of shot mechanics. Tay does normally get lift from his legs for his shot.
