I think the Pistons will start playing better now at home, and with the Bulls and Cavs not looking too hot, we should be able to build up enough of a lead to stay in first.

Re: Where will Detroit Finish in the Central Division?

I would not put much stock in the early season. It was a rough trip but look at the 2-7 Bulls and the 5-5 Cavs. Cavs made really no moves in the off-season and even lost Verajio.

I have no doubt the Pistons will still win the division but thats beside the point. Its hard not to think about the past 2 post seasons. Get all excited about the team as they roll though the 1st 2 rounds just to see them fall apart in the Conf finals. Maybe it would be better if they did not win a division. Or at least were not the 1st seed.

The Central so far is showing a whole lot of mediocrity, and then there are the Bulls who are just awful. They just beat the Pistons though. I look for the Pistons to win around 45 games, but in our division, that could mean anything from 1st to 4th place. Let's just say third place with a 5th or 6th seed.

Re: Where will Detroit Finish in the Central Division?

I think Joe D. is too attached to these players. It is obvious we need a shake up. Maybe trade Rip for Redd. We need a jump shooter who can get hot and fill it up no matter if he has a man on him or not. Rip needs screens to get free and seems to get frustrated too easily and taken out of the game.

I think the Bulls will make a move either for Kobe or Gasol and win the division. I think the Pistons will come in second.
